Websites are in Czech language and they offer product Friocard which allegedly normalises blood pressure.

1) The offered product gives the impression that a medicament is concerned. In fact it is a food (probably a food supplement). It is not registered as a medicinal product in the Czech Republic.

2) The texts on the websites contain so-called medical claims and unauthorised health claims in relation to the product Friocard, which is in contradiction to legislation

3) Certain mandatory information on the offered product Friocard is missing on the website.

4) The operator of the websites uses unfair business practices.

5) There are no terms and conditions listed on the website, consumers thus do not know who they conclude the purchasing contract with and under which conditions.

6) Internet domain „landevrv.com“ is registered outside the territory of the CR and the domain name holder is from the Bahamas (Domain Admin, Whois Privacy Corp., Ocean Centre, Montagu Foreshore, East Bay Street, Nassau, New Providence, +1.5163872248, landevrv.com-owner-vjdu@customers.whoisprivacycorp.com).

7) Consumers fill an ordering form (name and phone number). They are then contacted by phone to confirm the order and to provide data necessary for the delivery of the consignment.

8) With regard to the fact that the entity administrating the Internet domain in question is located outside the territory of the CR, activities of Czech supervisory bodies towards the operator of the websites are very limited.
