Website description:
Websites are in Czech language. The product is offered for Czech crowns. Products Solvenin, which allegedly removes varicose veins, is offered on the websites.
What to watch out for:
1) The offered product gives the impression that a medicament is concerned. In fact it is a food supplement (thus a foodstuff is concerned).
2) Limited contact data are available on the websites (phone only).
3) No information important for concluding a purchasing contract is available on the websites. Consumers do not know with whom and under what conditions the contract is concluded.
4) Websites are registered outside the territory of the Czech Republic and the country of the domain holder is not known (probably from Island).
5) Mandatory information on the foodstuff is missing on the websites concerned, so-called medical and unauthorised health claims in relation to the offered foodstuff are indicated in contradiction to legislation, and the operator of the websites uses unfair business practices.
6) With regard to the fact that the entity administrating the Internet domain concerned is located outside the territory of the CR, activities of Czech supervisory bodies towards the operator of the websites are very limited.
